Golyam Perelik Peak is the highest peak in the Rhodope Mountains (2191 m). The mountain ridge is covered with beautiful coniferous forests and picturesque meadows, making it an ideal place for walks and picnics.

Orpheus Peak (Shirokolyashki Snowfield)

Orpheus Peak (2188 m) is the second highest peak in the Rhodope Mountains and is known for its impressive views. The route from the village of Gela to the summit is technically easy and offers opportunities for pleasant walks in nature.

Trigrad Gorge and Devil's Throat Cave

Distance from Shiroka Laka:

    • 🚶‍♂️ On foot: not recommended due to the long distance

The Trigrad Gorge is a majestic gorge with high marble cliffs, located about 35 km from Shiroka Laka. Nearby is the Devil's Throat cave, famous for its underground waterfall and the legends of Orpheus.

Yagodinska Cave and Buynovo Gorge

Distance from Shiroka Laka:

The Yagodinska Cave is one of the longest caves in Bulgaria, offering a lit trail and guided tours. It is located in the Buynovo Gorge - the longest gorge in the country, known for its narrow passages and high rock walls.

Eagle's Eye Panoramic Platform

"Eagle's Eye" is a metal platform located on the edge of a cliff at an altitude of 1563 m, offering stunning views of the Rhodope Mountains, Pirin and Rila. It is accessible on foot or by jeep from the village of Yagodina.
